3M™ hollow glass microspheres (soda-lime-borosilicate glass) from Kremer Pigmente. A white, very light powder that drastically reduces the weight and shrinkage of fillers.
- K1: density approx. 0.125 g/cm³, mean diameter ~65 µm – maximum weight reduction
- S22: density approx. 0.22 g/cm³, mean diameter ~35 µm – higher crush strength
- Uses: filler for epoxy and acrylic resins (e.g. Paraloid B-72), lightweight fillers for ceramics, plaster and wood, adjusting texture and density of fills
- Chemically inert; insoluble in water or organic solvents
- Manufacturer/supplier: Kremer Pigmente GmbH & Co. KG (Germany)
