C.T.S. B.D.G. 86 is a cleaning system for the characteristic black stains (dendrites/deposits) of manganese oxides on archaeological finds. It works by a redox reaction in 15–20 minutes, leaving no residues and without recrystallisation of salts.
- Versions (250 ml): Red – ceramics; Green – stone; Yellow – bone; Blue – glass; Grey – archaeological mortars/stucco
- Features: neutral pH, colourless and odourless
- Application: locally with a brush or compress, followed by rinsing with deionised water
