The Tyvek is a high-quality polyethylene (PE) fabric, which provides ideal packaging for works of art and costume collections (uniforms, costumes, traditional dress), as well as for paper objects (books, maps) and other artefacts.
Tyvek fabric or bags protect against water, dust, light and insects. The material "breathes" thanks to micro-perforation while being inert, antistatic and dust-repellent. The material is easy to cut, sew and wash.
The museum-grade Tyvek (Tyvek 1623 – formerly MAF 16221E) is the safest and most versatile material for first packaging layer during storage and long-term keeping works of art and other objects. The material breathes, is durable, anti-hygroscopic, acid-free and has long service life.
