C.T.S. Ionex ion exchange resins with a styrene-divinylbenzene (DVB) copolymer matrix, as a fine 30–200 µm powder, suitable for water-based poultices.
- Ionex H (cationic, H⁺ form, pH 3–5.5, light brown powder): removal of inorganic deposits, encrustations and limewash from acid-resistant substrates – terracotta, ceramics, concrete, non-carbonate stones
- Ionex OH (anionic, OH⁻ form, pH 8–10, amber powder): desulphation – conversion of gypsum to calcium carbonate – on marble, limestone, mortars and wall paintings
- Application: paste with deionised water, with an interleaving sheet of Japanese paper, for 30 minutes to a few hours
