Molecular sieves are synthetic zeolites in spherical form which adsorb up to ~20% of their weight in water regardless of ambient humidity. They are used for particularly intensive drying or for storing objects at RH close to 0%.
- 4Å bulk (1.6–2.5 mm): pale yellow, apparent density 725–795 g/l, adsorption 22.0–22.5% (25 °C, 55% RH), moisture as supplied <1%; regeneration at 250–300 °C
- Superdrypak 0,5–10 g: 4Å molecular sieve in a dust-tight Tyvek sachet
- Molpack 25–250 g: 3Å molecular sieve in a Tyvek sachet
- Sachets: adsorption >18% by weight at 0–10% RH and >21% at 50% RH; packed in aluminium bags or metal containers; not regenerable (the cover cannot withstand 250–300 °C)
