The Gum Arabic are natural plant-based gum, which is obtained from various species Acacia. Available in the form of fine powder or small pieces and is characterised by high bonding capacity and excellent compatibility with aqueous systems.
It is fully water-soluble and insoluble in alcohol and most organic solvents, which makes it ideal for applications requiring gentle, reversible and chemically safe bonding.
It is widely used as adhesive for paper and board, as protective stabilising colloid in emulsions and dispersions, as well as binding medium (binder) in watercolours and gouache.
