The Ethyl Cellulose N 300, insoluble in water and aliphatic hydrocarbons, forms gels with most organic solvents of medium to high polarity and also thickens certain non-polar solvents such as turpentine, menthadiene and aromatic hydrocarbons. The viscosity of the gel depends on the type of solvent and the amount of Ethyl Cellulose N 300.
